Civic Studios Employee Welfare Policies

At Civic Studios, we believe that our people do their best work when they feel genuinely cared for — not just as employees, but as whole people navigating full lives. This page outlines the key policies and programmes we’ve put in place to support our team’s mental, emotional and physical wellbeing through the different stages of their working lives.

The following is a summary of some of Civic Studios’ key employee welfare policies and programmes. Detailed policies, eligibility criteria and applicable processes are set out in the Company’s Employee Handbook and may be updated from time to time. For any questions about these initiatives, please contact the People & Culture (P&C) team.

A. MENTAL HEALTH LEAVE POLICY

Civic Studios is committed to supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of all employees.

  1. All employees may request mental health leave beyond their standard paid leave entitlement. The duration of this leave will be determined based on individual circumstances.
  2. If an employee is experiencing a mental health condition or a challenging life situation that requires accommodation — such as workplace adjustments or other reasonable support based on individual circumstances — they are encouraged to speak to the P&C department without hesitation.
  3. Any mental health information shared with the People & Culture team is treated with strict confidentiality, and conversations are handled sensitively and privately.
  4. We actively encourage employees to reach out. Your wellbeing matters, and we are here to support you.

B. AMAHA — EMPLOYEE EMOTIONAL WELLBEING PROGRAMME

At Civic Studios, we recognise that emotional and mental wellbeing is as important as physical health. We are committed to creating an environment where every team member feels supported — not just professionally, but as a whole person. To this end, Civic Studios has partnered with Amaha, one of India’s leading mental health and emotional wellness platforms, to give all employees access to a comprehensive Emotional Wellbeing Programme.

  1. What is Amaha?
Amaha is a mental health platform built by therapists and psychiatrists with global experience. It offers a single, unified space through which employees can access self-care tools, peer support, professional therapy and psychiatric care — all in one place.
  2. What employees have access to?
Employees have access to professional therapy support, personalised self-care resources, workshops and webinars, moderated peer-support spaces, and wellbeing assessments and tools.
  3. Privacy
Employee participation in the Amaha programme is confidential. Personal therapy, assessment and wellbeing information is not shared with Civic Studios at an individual level. Any organisational insights shared with Civic Studios are aggregated and anonymised.
  4. How to access the programme
Details on accessing the Amaha platform are shared directly via email following onboarding. For any questions, employees can reach out to the P&C department.

Participation in the Amaha programme is entirely voluntary and confidential. We strongly encourage every member of the team to make use of the resources available to them.

C. MENSTRUAL / MENOPAUSE CARE POLICY

  1. Employees experiencing menstruation or menopause are eligible for additional paid leave, over and above their flexible paid leave days. This includes half a day of additional paid leave per month, up to 6 days per year, which can be availed on a need basis. Where an employee requires additional leave due to individual circumstances, further leave may be considered, subject to the applicable policy limits.
  2. Employees are asked to notify their immediate supervisor or the P&C department as soon as they know they need to take this leave. We encourage open communication between employees and managers to allow for this flexibility, with the P&C department kept informed of any such arrangements.
  3. Menstrual hygiene products and relevant medication are also available in the office for all team members.

D. PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY

Civic Studios believes that caregiving is a shared responsibility, and our parental leave policy is designed to support every employee equally as they welcome a new child into their family — regardless of gender.

  1. Leave for the birthing parent: All confirmed employees who deliver a child are entitled to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave, with additional discretionary leave available in cases of pregnancy-related illness or exceptional circumstances.
  2. Leave for other parents: All confirmed employees, regardless of gender, are entitled to 3 weeks of paid parental leave to support their partner and bond with their new child. Additional discretionary leave may be granted in exceptional circumstances.
  3. Civic Studios is committed to ensuring that no employee faces disadvantage or bias in their role, responsibilities or growth on account of availing parental leave.
