Role Description
The Creative Associate will play a pivotal role as part of the Creative Development Team, as they help streamline project commissioning and reduce response time on exciting, viable additions to the CS slate, keep ears on ground for industry trends, assist the team on greenlit projects at key stages, and enhance efficiency across team operations.

Key Responsibilities

    1. Reviewing new project submissions for consideration
    • Familiarize with the Slate criteria to filter out non-fitting submissions, and ensure that only worthy material is considered for further evaluation.
    • Be part of a team reviewing pitch material (decks, bibles, synopses, screenplays), and evaluating if materials can progress to the next evaluation stage according to the weekly quota.
    2. Story Identification and Development
    • Identify new stories for internal development from sources such as books, news articles, interviews, and documentaries.
    • Collaborate with the Creative development team to further evaluate which projects should be considered for further development
    3. Creative Operations Support
    • Support the Creative Ops Team with folder updates, database and OKR sheet management, and registration support.
    • Ensure seamless documentation and processes of all greenlit projects under each Creative Producer.
    4. Support on greenlit projects
    • Share feedback and inputs on submissions for greenlit projects already in development.
    • Contribute to specific creative assignments on existing greenlit projects, e.g. participate in brainstorms, support in creative research, feedback collation, and internal edits.
    5. Industry Tracking and Insights:
    • Track industry trends, releases, and performances (theatrical, OTT) monthly.
    • Document and share insights with the larger team.
    6. Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Studies, Creative Writing, or related field.
    • Experience: 2 – 3 years of previous experience in a creative development role, preferably within the film or media industry.
